Off topic - LFP UPS for small system backup?

Off topic. Is anyone using (retail or homemade) a Lithium Ion battery (preferably LFP) UPS for backing up a home server or router? Any recommendations for devices? (Would like something with minimum 300Wh of capacity and able to sustain 100W load. More is certainly OK). Thanks.

I picked up a load of vintage systems in Beltsville, MD this afternoon, and there are still a bunch left. These are designated for serious collectors, or people that will repair/redistribute them. Looking for a Palm IIIc

Hello! I've got an interesting problem. Basically I make use of any of three different Palm IIx devices I have here to display data from available hardware on my collection of breadboards. And I've reached the point in my work where the apps I use on the thing would look better on a color display enabled Palm. Usual terms apply. Oh and the velociraptors are all off this coming week and all of next month. Windows 2000

Just curious...does anyone have a working win 2000 system that they can access secure sites? Need TLS 4 or a work around? Not mission critical but I'd like to know if anyone has a way to make it work. Sure I could put something newer on my P-III PC. So.again, my question is, does anyone have a working win 2000 machine than can access sites that require an SSL. Or should I set up a proxy? Bill

Sun IPX questions

All — I recently picked-up a nice condition Sun IPX (used to control a wafted stepping machine) and it largely works perfectly. I’m no Unix expert, but there are a couple of things I can’t seem to get working so I thought I’d ask the group. Printing — The IPX runs SunOS 4.1.4/Solaris 1.1.2. I have two networked Canon printers at home and both supposedly work with IPP/LPD but I can’t get any output. I have the IP set in /etc/hosts and what I think is the right definition in /etc/printcap, but no success yet. If someone has gotten this working let me know. I also thought about using a Raspberry Pi as a CUPS server but I haven’t gotten that working either. Floppy — can’t seem to get this working either. It passes the rudimentary diagnostics in OpenBoot, but I’ve tried mounting it from the shell with no success using the “pcfs” modifier. Anyway, if someone with Sun experience could nudge me in the right direction I’d appreciate it. I’ve put up a web page on my site with details of the machine. Thanks!
