Message from Steve Lang, a trustee of InfoAge and part of the model train group: *"Members,* *Most all of the member groups of InfoAge use 9032A. The windows are in deplorable condition. Board of Trustees member Matt Sniffen has provided a quote to replace them. The cost of the replacement windows is between $10,000 and $11,000. He will put up $5000 and install them. The Garden State Central Model Railroad Club would like to raise the balance of approximately $5000. GSC will match all donations up to $2500 which doubles every dollar that is donated. To date I have gotten commitments of $550 from individuals and one member group. With the GSC matching donation that is $1100 and we are just getting started. From the vantage point of 54 years of participation in the personal computer industry I will offer some observations and viewpoints which may help to explain how we got here and why each of us is a consequential player in one of the world's most exceptional and unpredictable processes of mass participatory technological development. Because of their very nature as programmable handlers of information we have already seized control of the direction of personal computers -- we now stand at the threshold of their futures facing many different possible paths, not all of which are positive. SUN box keyboard and mouse

Hello! I have here a SUN SPARC 5 system. For the longest it originally ran headless and attempted to either keep up as my website's server. And of course supply me with local files. The website end was downed a while later, the serving of files ended soon after. Problem I now want to restart it as a desktop, and I believe it wears proprietary to SUN connectors for the keyboard and mouse. I did not see any at the swapmeet. 4 It did seem to wear a standard VGA type video out connector on its back though. UK Atari STE on US via 240V transformer (50 vs 60 hz)?

Hi folks, I'm importing an Atari STE from the UK, that requires 240V. I have a 120V to 240V transformer, and was wondering if that would work, or would there be a problem because the UK's grid runs at 50 Hz while the US grid runs at 60 Hz. I plan to replace the internal power supply with a modern 120V solution, but wanted to test the STE out of the box before I replaced the PSU. Thanks! John
